Bio
Sunaina Mehta is a marketing leader with a 20-year track record of growing brands through integrated marketing and product innovation on both client and agency sides. She has expansive brand and creative strategy, brand and campaign measurement, insights to innovation, market research and design expertise through her work in technology, advertising and architecture. She thrives equally at the business decision table, in the trenches, and with creative and analytics talent.
Sunaina was most recently VP Global Head of Insights for HP where she centered business transformation decisions on the voice of the customer, enabling the growth of HP’s brand value by 25% and earning a sustained 2x brand equity lead for HP Print. In her role, she scaled a global team across advertising, shopper and product marketing to accelerate HP’s shift to as-a-service business models and launch next gen products for consumer and commercial customers. Her marcom and CX leadership cut through siloes and enabled the doubling of HP Instant Ink subscriptions to 11 million, delivering 30% annual revenue growth to make it a $500M business.
Sunaina has previously served as Head of Strategy at MullenLowe Boston, Wieden+Kennedy Delhi, and Leo Burnett Delhi where she inspired breakthrough marketing campaigns for world-class leaders and challengers. Her contributions took businesses to #1 market share positions, as much as doubled agency business, and earned 18 marketing effectiveness awards plus a Cannes Gold Lion.
Forever on a learning quest to raise the bar in the new global economy, Sunaina is pursuing an Executive M.S. in Strategic Design for Global Leadership at Parsons School of Design. She is a mentor as well as a board member with the Design Forward Alliance, San Diego. Sunaina is also creator of The Leela Collective—a passion project to turn the relatable stories of enterprising South Asian women into one motivational force.
Sunaina holds a Master’s degree in Integrated Marketing Communications from Northwestern University and a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from Sushant School of Art & Architecture. She has lived and worked extensively in the U.S. and India and traveled to 30 countries for work and play. She is also a Certified Saké Professional and has founded Know Me Saké—a company she is designing from the ground up. Sunaina is a mom. And also an erstwhile architect.
